Another phone that came out recently is the Motorola Milestone.
Most blogs and forums i hava found would compare the google nexus one to the 2 leading comercial and most popular mobile smart phones on the market. blackberry and iphone. it is interesting to read about other potential competitors.
Let's see what the Nexus One has on the milestone...
The Nexus ONE is super fast. The Nexus ONE could best compare to the top of the line iPhone 3GS for speed. we all know how fast that sucker is. It also seems the Nexus One is particularly performant using Google Reader. Could it be predisposed to be faster than other smartphones on Google applications? They all say the milestone is miles away...
For the screen, Nexus ONE has an active matrix OLED display. The AMOLED screen is an emission screen which means that the light is emited by the screen itself, and does not depend on the back light which traditional active matrix LED uses. This greatly extens battery life for it does not drain as much. Have you ever compared a flatscreen LED with a flatscreen OLED? if you have seen both operating next to each other, you definetly notice the difference in image quality. Same reason why the Nexus One's graphics look so much superior to all the other LED phone displays out there. The Nexus One has better quality, but there needs to be underligned that the Milestone has a greater resolution (854x480 compared to the Nexus One which has a 800x600).
The rest is mostly personal choice... will get back to this topic though
