Google Earth app for Google Nexus One

Google Earth for Android is now available. But don't get all excited and try to download it for your Android device now because your phone's Marketplace app may not even list it. Google Earth requires Android 2.1, which means the Nexus One is the only eligible handset for now. There are quite a number of devices that will be upgraded to 2.1 such as the HTC Hero and Acer Liquid, but this will happen only later in the year.
In the meantime, those of us who do not have a Nexus One can just drool at the 3D graphics offered by this app, along with a new Roads layer that gives you "a better sense of where you are with road labels drawn on top of the satellite imagery". It even supports voice recognition so you could simply vocalize "Petronas Kuala Lumpur" to find the popular Malaysian landmark.
